Description:

The air flow test chamber is designed primarily for system impedance testing but can also be used to determine fan performance. The 150 CFM chamber is 12 inches in diameter and 36 inches in length. The standard flow range is 3 to 150 CFM. The chamber is constructed with pressure taps on each side of the nozzle to measure the differential pressure. The pressure taps near the end of the chamber are for measuring the pressure drop across the system under test or the static pressure of the fan under test. In either case, the measurement is a differential pressure between the chamber and atmospheric pressure. The minimum flow range is determined by the nozzle array and the standard is 3 CFM. Lower flow ranges may be achieved by utilizing smaller nozzles in the nozzle array.
